Where do merging binary black holes come from?

Abstract: 

LVK has already detected nearly hundred of mergers not counting the current O4 run.This allows to investigate the properties of the detected population.  I will review what we know of the detections,  present the possible models  of formation of these objects, and compare the models with observations.
