Abstract:
Consequence analysis of a nuclear accident is an obligatory part of the safety reports for NPP. Among other elements, it includes atmospheric dispersion, transport of radionuclides in surface water and groundwater, and finally estimation of various types of doses. Models for radionuclides transport in groundwater have to take into account several specific characteristics of the porous media. The most important issues of such modelling will be presented along with the typical models developed for the purposes of safety reports.
