Extreme Light Infrastructure (ELI) – high-power pulsed lasers
2017.03.16 8:37 - Anna RędaszekGoal of the Extreme Light Infrastructure (ELI) project currently under development in Czech Republic (http://www.eli-beams.eu/), Romania (http://www.eli-np.ro/) and Hungary (http://www.eli-alps.hu/) is to develop in these countries large, unique research labs equipped with high-power pulsed lasers. Such lasers are valuable research tools in numerous disciplines of modern science and technology.
Topics to-be-presented during the seminar include: ELI project genesis; status of the infrastructure development in individual countries; planned research programmes (in particular in nuclear physics); opportunities for Polish scientists to join the ELI project.
